Annual Bronte Stag Weekend Event
Every year for the past 16 years, Tony Fox, TSC USA Canadian Director, together with family and friends, has hosted a three-day get-together for Triumph Stag owners on the days prior to and the day of British Car Day. Now in its 36th year, British Car day is held at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in Oakville (just west of Toronto, ON) and is organized by the Toronto Triumph Club.
The Bronte Stag Week-end provides an opportunity for Stag owners to attend British Car Day, the largest gathering of British cars in North America, but to also participate in a number of enjoyable drives through the southern Ontario countryside, often visiting museums or other destinations with a transportation interest. Lunch and dinner outings are also arranged to enable Stag owners to socialise and talk about their beloved cars.
Preparations are well underway for our 2019 Stag Party at Bronte to be held September 13th through 15th. We'll enjoy tours of places of interest in the Burlington area together with a country drive on both days. On the Saturday, the Toronto Triumph Club has generously invited us for a picnic in Bronte Park followed by a scenic drive to which all participating British car owners are invited.
Sunday, September 15, is of course the big show in Bronte Provincial Park , just a 15-minute drive from the hotel.
Besides joining the largest group of Stags in North America you will have the opportunity to attend what is the largest British car show in North America, with well over 1,000 British vehicles participating. Each year amazes us with the rare models of vehicles that appear, many of which I have not seen for years. You can optionally pre- register for the car show and save $5 through the Toronto Triumph Club's website rather than pay at the gate. Go to the British Car Day webpage and click on Fast Lane Registration when it becomes active in May. This will speed up your entry into the park.
For further information, contact Tony Fox or telephone: 905-632-0479.
Looking forward to next year, the Stag will be celebrating its 50th anniversary and we hope to have at least 50 Stags participate in the 2020 Bronte Stag Weekend and British Car Day.
